Andrea Lowe

Tell us about yourself!

Hi! I'm Andrea and I'm in my 2nd year of my DrPH program in Health Policy & Leadership at Loma Linda University. In my day job, I also own and operate my own consulting practice, Social Impact Studio Consulting, LLC. Although I go to school in California, I'm based out of central Pennsylvania, where I've lived since 2022.

Why did you pursue a DrPH?

I was interested in the advanced learning and practice around leadership and management in my field. Pursuing a degree has given me the space and time to invest in myself, in a way I hadn't been able to through conference attendance or webinar trainings.

What are you currently excited about in your job?

All the things! I love working with clients, running business operations, and dreaming up what I can do and how I can partner with others to improve health and human services across the country.

If you could write a book about your life, what would the title be and why?

"The Wandering Adventures of Andrea Lowe" because I've travelled and moved around a lot (both for professional and personal reasons). Also, because I've found myself doing things I never expected or anticipated--I try to approach life with a sense of adventure, despite also being a planner in my working life!

What is something interesting about you that we should know?

Hmm...this is a good question. I really enjoy talking to plants and animals, in addition to people. You may see me do that sometimes.
