Tell us about yourself!

I'm a Senior Program Manager at the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, Alaska Native Epidemiology Center. I a manage a CDC cooperative agreement with the purpose of supporting of the 12 Tribal Epi Centers on all the things! I lived in AK for 12 years and now live in Santa Fe, NM. I have 2 kids (11 yo and 16 yo girls) and love listening to audiobooks while on my huge morning walks.

Why did you pursue a DrPH?

It was a newly accredited program at the Un of Hawaii and the practice and community based focus of the degree was intriguing!

What are you currently excited about in your job?

I love making connections and getting my colleagues the exact thing they need, when they need it. My colleagues are wonderful and I love to spend time with them.

If you could write a book about your life, what would the title be and why?

How many books I can read and how many libraries I can walk to in one lifetime? I love books and I love libraries. I think if I had to do it over, I might have been a research librarian.

What is something interesting about you that we should know?

I love thrifting! My entire house and closet are filled with my thrift treasures.
